Our founders story

Kelli Poole - Founder and CEO

Kelli Poole is the founder and namesake of Talent Poole Consulting, a firm known for bringing clarity, structure, and humanity to complex systems.

For more than 15 years, Kelli has worked at the intersection of housing, health, and economic development—helping governments, philanthropies, and community organizations turn ambitious goals into practical solutions. She has led large teams, guided multi-million-dollar initiatives, and built talent pipelines designed to attract and retain the kind of leaders who move real change forward.

Grounded in her Southern roots, Kelli believes in making the world a more hospitable place—where people and systems can both thrive. She’s as comfortable in a boardroom as she is on a front porch, listening, laughing, and helping others find their next right step.

A curiosity-driven entrepreneur, Kelli follows inspiration wherever it leads—whether designing leadership retreats, crafting strategy for mission-driven organizations, or helping professionals chart more easeful careers. She splits her time between Los Angeles and Charleston and can often be found dreaming up new ideas, curating meaningful gatherings, or quietly watching the trees in her backyard.

Talent Poole Consulting: History

In 2019, Kelli launched Talent Poole Consulting with a clear mission: to strengthen the people and systems powering social impact work.

What began as a focus on executive search, training, and organizational development has grown into a trusted consultancy that helps big business, small business and government design strategies, build teams, and deliver lasting results.

Talent Poole was founded on the belief that people are powerful

Since its founding, Talent Poole has expanded our work across the public and private sectors, scaled a contracted team of 15 and helped direct over $3.2 million in contracts and wages toward local professionals and community partners.
